Congratulations Victor and Kristina!!

What a happy day October 5th, 2013!  Kristina and Victor had a lovely wedding and despite a few stressful moments, it all came together as a day to celebrate the joining of Kristina and Victor into their own family unit.   Both our family and Victor's family all had smiles of and lots of happy moments that day!  Many hours of work went into making this day perfectly beautiful.

What would we have done without Kelly, Brian, Cody, Troy, Morgan, Brooke, Ty, Kristina, Victor, Victor's family, Aunt Laura, Aunt Cari and Emily?  Everyone wanted the perfect day for Kristina, even though we sometimes called her Bridezilla!  She even called herself that!  The clean up crew the next day worked extremely hard the next day.

But it was all worth it!

Good things happening in California . . .

Well here I am back at home after spending a couple of weeks in California with the Addington Family.  We got to take Cody to the Temple on September 29th.  He was very sick when I arrived so we had to wait a few days until he was better.  My pictures of that day are on my camera still, so I will post them next week.

On October 5th we had a lovely wedding when Kristina and Victor were married.  No pictures to post here either as they are from the photographers website.  So I will try to add those next week.  But it was a beautiful wedding and a very happy day.

Birthdays come so quickly

It is hard for me to believe, but this week was my 67th Birthday!  

I have so many blessings in my life, and am grateful for each member of my family.  Truly family brings such joys into our lives.  

Next Friday we take Cody to the Temple to take out his endowments and a week after that Kristina and Victor get married on October 5th!  Many changes are coming up in the next few months.  

So an exciting few months are in store for the Addington families as we grandchildren grow older and life just gets more busy.

All these grandkids are older now but it is fun to remember them when they were so little.

Cody got his mission call . . . .

Cody received his mission call yesterday!  He will be serving in the Texas Fort Worth Mission, English Speaking and goes into the MTC on November 20, 2013.  Cody will be the first missionary, of my grandchildren to serve a mission.  There are lots of his siblings and cousins who will follow in his footsteps.  He has set a wonderful example for each of them.  Laura served 18 months in that mission a few years ago.  How interesting that they will both have served in the same mission.  What wonderful experiences Cody will have over the next two years!  I know I am his grandma, but I know he will be an awesome missionary!

Missionary Service blesses each missionary and their family.  I know that Cody will be teaching the word of the Lord to his people.  I know the Lord will be with him as he goes forward in his missionary service.  I am so grateful for the gospel and the love and joy it brings to those who seek it.

I loved my mission in the Nevada Las Vegas Mission where I served as secretary to President Christensen.  Missionary Service is the hardest, the most inspiring, and the most humbling work you will ever do.  So pleased with your choice Cody!

Many moons have passed . . . .

since I posted on this blog!  It is now August 2013 and my family has grown considerably since 2009 my last post.  Here are 18 of my 19 Grandchildren.  Kristina and her hubby-to-be Victor were not able to be around for this photo.  Had to stay in California and work!

I am so grateful for the blessings we all have enjoy this year.  My August resolution is to post more on this blog.   We have some great events coming up Kristina's wedding and Cody is awaiting his mission call.  I want to keep a better history of life for my grandchildren's benefit.
